Bar Cantinetta in Madison Valley to close after 10 years

The restaurant Bar Cantinetta announced on Tuesday that it will close its doors after 10 years of operation in Seattle's Madison Valley.

The Tuscan Restaurant, which is known for its homemade pasta and seasonal ingredients opened in 2013 at 2811 E. Madison St., replacing the former La Cote location. Owners announced on Instagram that Sunday will be its last day.

The post stated: "Please accept our sincere gratitude for your support of Bar Cantinetta locally over the past ten years," Your presence inside and outside has helped define and shape the essence of a neighborhood restaurant.

The owners have not revealed what led to the closure, but they are open to the possibility of moving the Madison Valley Restaurant to another location in the area.

The post stated that "our next venture for Bar Cantinetta has not been completely decided." The post said, "Our next endeavor for Bar Cantinetta is not completely decided."

The Wallingford and Bellevue Cantinetta locations, which are co-owned with restaurateur Trevor Greenwood will remain open. The group owns Como, which is located in Kirkland. Greenwood will open El Encanto in Kirkland this month.
