Hakes Brothers expands into Kansas City area
Hakes Builders, a New Mexico homebuilder, is expanding to the Kansas City area with two subdivisions.

Two new developments by a New Mexico-based builder in the Kansas City region mark its first venture into this area.
Hakes Brothers is developing two new communities near Kansas City, in Leavenworth & Basehor. According to its website, the homes start at $384,000 and are about 1,700 square foot.
Hakes Brothers Division president Chris Hakes said, "Kansas City is a very welcoming city and we are looking forward to sharing our new home with the Kansas City area."
Hakes Brothers was founded in 2006 in Las Cruces. The company also has offices in Albuquerque and El Paso.
Hakes spoke to Albuquerque Business First earlier this year about the challenges and opportunities it expects in 2023. They cited the workforce as one of their biggest challenges.
"We compensated for this by hiring only the most qualified and experienced professionals." We do understand, however, that the high demand for new construction in general puts a strain on available labor.
