The Boeing jetliner involved in an in-flight blowout over Oregon was restricted from flights to Hawaii after a warning light indicating a possible pressurization problem appeared on three different flights. The National Transportation Safety Board chair stated that Alaska Airlines made the decision to restrict the aircraft to be able to return quickly to an airport if the warning light reappeared. In response to the incident, shares of Boeing, Alaska Airlines, and Spirit AeroSystems fell. The NTSB cautioned that the pressurization light may not be directly related to the incident. Further investigations are underway.
