Brazil sets up Olympic soccer gold medal match against USWNT after 4-2 win over Spain

Brazil’s women’s soccer team clinched a spot in the Olympic final after defeating Spain 4-2 in the semifinals. They will face the United States for the gold medal. Spain, ranked number one by FIFA and the reigning World Cup champions, will compete for the bronze against Germany. Brazil took an early lead with a bizarre own goal from Spain’s Irene Paredes. Gabi Portilho and Adriana also scored for Brazil, while Salma Paralluelo netted two goals for Spain. The final will take place on August 10.
