Flights Redirected From Barcelona as Fresh Storms Lash Spanish Coast

Heavy rainstorms in Barcelona led to the rerouting and cancellation of several flights on Monday. Significant weather disruptions required at least 17 flights to divert from El Prat airport, and around 50 flights had to be canceled. The storm also resulted in the suspension of train services across Catalonia, a major region with a population of around 8 million. This comes shortly after severe flooding impacted other areas in Spain, causing substantial challenges in managing transportation and infrastructure.
