Severe turbulence on a recent Singapore Airlines flight resulted in one passenger fatality and multiple injuries, according to Singapore’s Transport Ministry. The incident occurred during a 13-hour trip from London to Singapore, approximately 10 hours into the journey. The plane was flying over southern Myanmar at an altitude of 37,000 feet when it encountered turbulence, causing the aircraft to rise unexpectedly and then pitch downward. As a result, the plane lost altitude rapidly, causing injuries to passengers and crew members. The plane was safely diverted to Thailand, where it landed. One passenger died, and 71 people sustained injuries.
